Our women's Bible study was in the book of John and one of the focus verses was John 15:11 "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you and that your joy may be full." There followed a list of several other verses related to "Joy". Upon reflection on these verses as well as how I had named this business "Joyful Expressions", I did a more in-depth study of the word "Joy" and it's meaning in the Bible.I found this definition of Joy..it is a state of mind and an orientation of the heart. It is a settled state of contentment, confidence and hope. It is something or someone that provides a source of happiness. It appears 88 times in the Old Testament in 22 books; 57 times in the New Testament in 18 books.
I wanted to capture some of the most meaningful Bible verses related to "Joy" and developed this design. I have included Bible verses in this order, Psalm 35:9, John 15:11, Psalm 32:11, I John 1:4, Habakkuk 3:18, Nehemiah 8:10, Psalm 16:11 and Jeremiah 15:16.
I alternated the floss colors slightly between each Bible verse transition so that each would be distinguishable. I'm really pleased at how nice this design turned out and particularly how many verses were included in one design!
